Hello all you up and coming Internet marketers!

I originally got interested in the world of online marketing, or make money online (the MMO niche), when I found myself without a job, feeling pretty desperate, and like so many other people, I started typing into Google “How to make money online.”

And exactly like so many others, I started searching for anything that was just simple, and that would bring me money without me learning a lot of new skills.

I searched for the getting paid to do surveys niche. I couldn’t find anything that seemed legitimate. Any work from home job would do, but it was quite the wild goose chase, and it didn’t go anywhere.

I found people who were teaching network marketing. I made some real effort in that arena, but never figured it out enough, and was confused by too many teachers and opportunities to focus in the way I needed to make it successful. I also wasn’t interested in it enough to make it work (things to pay attention to – there’s lessons about this coming up).

I tried article marketing. I went on Ezine Articles, learned how to create and post articles there, which I did.

Ezine articles is no longer what it was (I still exists, but its influence is greatly diminished). But it used to be really important.

But get this. It was super difficult to become a highly rated author there (can’t remember what they called it). They had a prize of giving you their cherished Ezine Articles mug for their top authors.

I think because so many people just plain did it wrong is what made it seem so hard to people.

But after I had written just 10 articles, they sent me their mug! I still have it. I still can’t figure that out, because seasoned authors weren’t able to get it. All I did was follow directions! (Okay, I did have a course about it, but still…)

Anyway, after spending too much time playing with network marketing, I discovered there’s this whole other world of Internet marketing that doesn’t require network marketing (or multi-level marketing, or mlm for short).

Bit by bit I started learning about affiliate marketing, as well as ecommerce. I got my fingers into a lot of things. I didn’t make a lot of progress. I didn’t know what to do or how to focus.

But I still learned a lot.

My purpose is to help you find your way to success in Internet marketing without succumbing to all the pitfalls that will certainly befall you.

You probably have been making a lot of rookie mistakes. But you don’t need to continue this.

While there is no “easy button” so you have to do basically no work and easily make millions, you can shortcut the learning curve so that you can shorten the time until you begin making real profits. Without clear direction you can waste years and thousands of dollars trying to figure out what you’re doing.

With clear direction, you can take a straight forward path to making your business profitable.

What’s the biggest pitfall? What’s the greatest difficulty plaguing beginning marketers?

The inability to stay focused on a single path.

Why is this so?

Because you don’t know which direction is best. You don’t know what will work for you. You don’t know if you can afford to make something work. You don’t know if the program you’re thinking about joining, which would cost you money you can’t afford to lose, will work for you.

What are the costs? Are there any other expenses they’re not telling you about? What are the upsells? Will it work for the niche I’m in? Will it work where I live?

I don’t speak English very well! I’m too old! I’m too young! I’m a non-techie! I can’t even figure out how to turn my computer on without help!

Maybe you’re afraid there’s scam artists everywhere. Maybe you’ve experienced vendors who don’t support their own products. Maybe your time is very limited to get started, and you’re scared to waste your time on something that won’t work for you in the end.

I know most of the problems you might experience. I’ve been through most of them myself. I’ve made so many mistakes.

But I’ve learned. And you can too.

Watch my blog, or get on my email list. There I will guide you with strategies and methods that actually work.

Stick with it. You can do this. Believing in yourself and that you can do it is the single most important ingredient to making yourself a success. Every business has challenges. Everyone makes small and sometimes HUGE mistakes. Those are the steps of experience that make you stronger, more effective, and more powerful. The strongest people learn to bounce back after failure, and then become a greater success than before.

We are all in this together. We live right now in an extremely challenging world. There is real evil in the world right now. But you can be one of the great ones to help overcome the bad and make the world a great place. All you have to do is take one step at a time until you reach the goal.

Signing off,

Walter Lewis
